Thanks so much to all of you who are participating in the second international SWAN Day. Whether you are organizing a public event, posting materials online, creating a private celebration, or attending an event, you are part of a world-wide movement that is growing stronger every year.
There are SWAN Day 2009 events all over the U.S. and in cities as far flung as Shanghai, Nairobi, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Madurai, and Jerusalem. (See the list below.) These celebrations remind us that women artists all over the world are enriching their communities and creating positive change every day.
Please join us in celebrating women artists on SWAN Day and every day.
Together we will build a world where women artists get the respect they deserve!
Best Wishes for a Happy, Peaceful, and Prosperous SWAN Day!
Martha Richards, Executive Director, The Fund for Women Artists
