Help Us Celebrate Our 20th Anniversary!
On Tuesday, December 2, WomenArts will join non-profits across the country in celebrating Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to encouraging philanthropy during the holiday season.
We hope you will join us in celebrating our 20 years of supporting women artists by making a gift to WomenArts this year. WomenArts started as a group of women at a kitchen table. Here’s what we do now:
- Coordinate SWAN Day – We coordinate Support Women Artists Now Day/SWAN Day, a new international holiday that celebrates the power of women’s creativity. There have been over 1,200 SWAN events in 24 countries.
- Advocate for Gender Parity – We collaborate with organizations in the U.S. and elsewhere to advocate for women artists and to promote gender parity in the arts. We monitor information about women’s employment in the arts.
- Provide Free Online Resources – We provide a variety of free online resources for individual women artists. Our website at www.WomenArts.org has over 500,000 visitors every year, and there are over 1,600 profiles on the WomenArts Network, our free online directory of women artists.
