The film centers around a stand-up comedian named Teejay, performed by actor and producer Joe Torry of Poetic Justice fame, who is given the opportunity of a lifetime at the cost of disappointing his daughter.

The Workout Room features a stripper pole in the center of the comedy stage and an atmosphere that is a cross between sitcom hit “Cheers” and the club scenes from the mid 90s film “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate”. Both Teejay and Juice are on the verge of their big break in the comedy world. XENA, the very popular comedy promoter turned club owner, approaches Teejay with a huge opportunity to be the feature act for an extremely famous comedian.

Teejay boasts with excitement which quickly turns into anxiety when he realizes that this opportunity falls on the same day as his daughter’s wedding. The Workout Room Movie is a funny, plot driven film with no profane language that can be viewed by all ages.
