Since 2005, Africa Exchange has turned its focus to East Africa, creating long term networks and relationships with performing artists in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, and supporting recent residencies in Africa for U.S.-based artists. More information is on their website.

The Africa Grantmakers Affinity Group (AGAG)

AGAG is a network of grantmakers working in or interested in working in Africa. AGAG was established as a forum for foundations to exchange information and work together in an effort to amplify current foundation funding and promote increased and more effective grantmaking in Africa to better address Africa’s development challenges. The Mediterranean Women’s Fund

Aims to support women’s actions and projects originating from around the Mediterranean region (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Spain, France, etc.), with the goal of furthering women’s struggles for equality in the face of traditional patriarchal oppression and recent surges of fundamentalist extremism. Funds creative projects that help further these goals.
