Grants, fellowships, and other opportunities for Washington State artists in all disciplines.

Artists Resource Trust (ART)

The fund supports mid-career visual artists living in New England who can demonstrate a strong, sustained body of work. Also supports nonprofit organizations that wish to commission new work or purchase existing works by mid-career artists living in New England.  Grants range from $1,500 – $10,000.

Kentucky Foundation for Women, Inc.

Giving to feminist visual artists in Kentucky working in painting, sculpture, puppetry, crafts, photography exhibits, multi-media, with the goal of bringing about social change through the arts. Each year the KFW awards $200,000 through two grant programs. Other opportunities include retreats, residencies, workshops, and an informative e-newsletter, the “KFW Hot Flash”.

Franz and Virginia Bader Fund

Provides grants to visual artists (including photographers) who are at least 40 years old and who live within 150 miles of Washington, DC. Annual application receipt deadline is September 15.

Jerome Foundation

Giving limited to MN and New York, NY. Supports emerging visual artists’ exhibitions, fellowships, and workshops. The General Grant Program is open to non-profit arts organizations and to artists who apply through a non-profit fiscal agent. The Media Program and the Travel and Study Program accept applications directly from individual artists. The Travel and Study Program is open to artists from a variety of categories which alternate on a two-year cycle. The Jerome Foundation recently merged with the Camargo Foundation of Cassis, France; both were created by artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill. Camargo operates a residential and cultural center in France to advance the work of scholars and artists.

The Leeway Foundation

Grants to emerging and established Philadelphia-area women and trans artists in any medium of art, with a focus on arts and social change. There are two grant programs: the Art and Change Grant and the Leeway Transformation Grant. Both programs are on an annual cycle.

Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts

Supports visual and literary artists in New York State through a summer residency program, workshops, and salons.
