The 4th annual Swan Day Chicago will celebrate the graphic design expertise of Mia Lee, Veronica Owens, Caira Conner, Michelle West, Eboni Bryant and Le’Anne Jones.

Whatupwindy.com and ILA started our celebratory events April 2014 and have continued this annual event in hopes of bringing more awareness to women in the arts in Chicago. This is also a charitable event and a percentage of ticket sales will go toward CPS’s Arthur Dixon Elementary School‘s art department on Chicago’s southside. This cause is something the two SWAN Day Chicago curators are passionate about because it’s the Chicago Public School that sparked their creativity and interest in the arts as children.

SWAN Day is an international holiday designed to showcase the power and diversity of women’s creativity. SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day commences worldwide at the end of March through the end of April; hence our interest in hosting the Chicago event between that time frame. This year we will feature some of Chicago’s most sought after women graphic designers. We can’t wait to see you!
