First Lady of the Revolution is the true story of Henrietta Boggs, a young Southern belle from Alabama who makes a life-altering journey through marriage, civil war and audacious political reforms to become the First Lady of Costa Rica.  Women’s historical roles are all too often excluded from the history books, but we at least know that this woman helped shape a democratic society, expand the role of women in Latin America and significantly impact an entire hemisphere.  This award-winning documentary will be screening at the Maryland International Film Festival in Hagerstown, Maryland on April 1st at 11:45 am.  Learn more about the film here: www.firstladyoftherevolution.com.
