What stops a brilliant scientist from publishing her discoveries? Maize is a new play by Judith Pratt about the Nobel Prize-winning cytogeneticist, Barbara McClintock. Faced with a threat to her work and her future, Barbara struggles with her past. A drama about how we can sabotage ourselves, the challenges of being a woman in science, and about scientists who love their work.

New Play Development Panel Discussion – Saturday 3/3 after the evening performance, Aoise Stratford will lead a panel discussion of literary managers and artistic directors talking about the process of new play development. Panelists: Michael Barakiva, Kyle Bass, and Jenni Werner.
