Susan Sobeloff’s “Jubilee” – A B8 World Premiere

B8 Theatre Company is proud to present this World Premiere of Susan Sobeloff’s “JUBILEE” running February 15 – March 3, directed by Peet Cocke.
In a dystopian future, brutal civil war ends in a fragile peace. Determined to rebuild a democratic government, two generations of a family struggle to love one another, keep each other safe, and navigate conflicting political loyalties.

OUR PLAYWRIGHT
Susan Sobeloff’s plays have been read at B8 Theatre, Playwrights Center of San Francisco, Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, and Custom Made Theatre. Her short plays have been performed in SF Theatre Festival, the Monday Night series at the SF Marsh in San Francisco, and as part of Woman’s Will Playfest. Susan is an alumna of Theatre Bay Area’s ATLAS Program for Playwrights and a proud Central Works Writers Group member. Most recently, Strange Ladies, a Central Works Method play with period music, had its world premiere in 2017 and was a TBA Recommended Production. Her play Merchants debuted at the SF Exit Theatre and Letters from Helicon, Letters from Olympus was part of the SF Olympians Festival.
