Vanessa Baez, the late sister of host Amy Baez, was a women that demonstrating extraordinary courage while battling 5 years of illness. Her memory is celebrated to foster sisterhood and commend the courage of a woman in the local community.

The 13th Annual Vanessa Baez Memorial Women’s Brunch is continuing its history of “Celebrating Everyday Women With Extraordinary Courage.” This year’s guest speaker, Felecia Hatcher, will speak about her courageous life story and her efforts in creating Feverish Pops, Black Tech Week, and Code Fever, an initiative that trains African American and Caribbean youth and young adults in the areas of technology and entrepreneurship.
