For centuries, the Bugis people have accepted gender diversity as implicitly written in the I La Galigo manuscript, in which they describe the existence of five genders, one of which is the calalai. Who is the calalai? The story unfolds in this film directed by Indonesian filmmaker, Kiki Febriyanti.
