Join us as we bring the Middle East to the Midwest with a traditional Middle Eastern women’s party, Sunday, January 15, 2017, 2:30–5:00 p.m., at the Jawaahir Dance Company studio in Minneapolis.

Delight in an afternoon of henna, dance, food, and friendship. Jawaahir Dance Company inspires you with a short, captivating performance at 2:30 and then invites you to the dance floor for informal instruction in basic dance moves during the open dance party featuring live drummers, including local master percussionist, Tim O’Keefe! Dance, indulge in the ritual of henna painting traditionally done at women’s celebrations, enjoy refreshments, and mingle with friends and company members. Experience the hospitality the Middle East is known for.

We’re selling raffle tickets for a chance to have Angela of Ancient Traditions Mehndi work her magic on you. Ten lucky winners will have the chance to receive a custom henna design by Angela. Henna raffle tickets are $5 each.

Want to try a class? We’re also raffling two 10-week sessions of Level 1 or Level 2 classes at The Cassandra School. Tickets for the class raffle are only $10, for a prize valued at $140!
