JSDD’s Wae Center is delighted to announce the opening of a one-woman show, “The Art of Female Empowerment.” The exhibit, featuring the impressive body of work by Wae Center artist Kristen Lynn, is being shown by the Creativity Caravan in Montclair NJ as part of their year-long effort to showcase female artists. The collection focuses on this artist’s desire to capture women’s life experiences. Stop by for the Opening Reception and meet the artist! Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will run through April 1, 2018.

“The details in my drawings are extremely important to me,“ explains the artist. “I use them to show awareness about everything women go through in life such as puberty, pregnancy, cancers, menopause, etc. Sometimes I draw women for the purpose of women’s rights and human rights awareness. I do this by showcasing diverse families and couples. Some of the women I create are based on people in my life and others are based on characters I see in my mind.”
