Our Feature is woman duo whom are both musically gifted in many ways. Not only do these beautiful ladies have beautiful voices, but their also able to play the flute and violin. Keisha Slaughter has been labeled one of  New Orleans artists to look out for in 2017.

One of our special guest performers The Whitness is a educator and performer with a vast background of work and performances in the poetry and music fields. She also has bachelor’s degree in psychology and a masters in criminal justice.

Last but not least, not only am I (DCpoet) an artist myself but I’m also the event organizer and business owner of Umekia’s Corner. We orchestrate events, we do photography, as well as artist management in booking shows and venues.
