“Through the Door” features nine women who participate in a movement and meditation program as part of their healing. All women were clients at the Esperanza Shelter for Battered Families at the time of the program and filming by Healing Voices – Personal Stories, a non-profit film company devoted to increasing public awareness of domestic violence.  “Jeannine’s Story” shares how a musician/composer/performer rebuilt her life following both childhood and adult abuse.
