Rewriting History, One Woman at a Time
March 1, 2017 @ 9:00 am - March 31, 2017 @ 12:00 pm
We tell stories of astonishing women, past and present. That’s our mission. What started as a backyard art project has grown into a multi-media non-profit, producing original videos that have been seen and shared by thousands of people. In our interviews, a storyteller speaks passionately about a personally inspiring woman who deserves to be a larger part of history– someone we need to know about, someone to talk about, someone to remember.
Look What She Did! is growing like wildfire. Our videos are being used in classrooms around the country, a fun and useful tool for educators to inspire students with unique stories about unknown powerhouse women. Adults are watching our videos on their phones and social media, getting a shot of inspiration and taking a much-needed break from the news. Folks click on our videos for a breather– an easygoing and positive reminder of heroines who give us hope and faith in our own strength and abilities.
With your help we’ll do our first out-of-town shoot this summer in the Bay Area. We’ll be in Silicon Valley filming women in Tech, in Berkeley with women in Science, and Sausalito interviewing women in the Arts. As we build our library, expand our audience and develop partnerships with schools, museums, and community groups, we realize the moment is right for us to grow into a thriving, sustainable company with national impact. We’re a little company with a big vision. Join us by donating now when your dollars will make such a big difference.
