The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights and LA Female Playwrights Initiative are proud to unite to present SWAN Day LA 2017: a celebration of women theatre artists working together to mark Support Women Arists Now Day!

It’s a free, public afternoon of readings that will feature Micro-Reads submitted day-of from any women writer in attendance, and short plays by female ALAP members, collaborating with a team of women directors and actors (of all genders).

If you are a female writer and would like to participate in the Micro-Reads, plan on arriving at Plummer Park at 11 am with 1 page, 400 words or less. Micro-Reads will then be cast by a director and presented to kick off the afternoon of readings at 12:30 pm. Please note: Micro-Reads scripts will be considered in the order in which they are received (hopefully we’ll get to them all, it’s not guaranteed!)
