UTERINE AFFAIRS Or The Inconceivable Conception, an ensemble play from Paris, France, will make its world premiere during the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival at the Lounge Theatre, June 4th through June 25th.

UTERINE AFFAIRS tells the journey of Mary Joan Holy, who affirms to be pregnant, while still a virgin, after having had intercourse with another woman. Her Freudian gynecologist sets her on a never ending travel to various irrational places, on an infructuous pursuit to terminate her gestation. Will she be guillotined?

In the tradition of the Theatre of the Absurd (Ionesco, Beckett), this subversive comedy explores the status of women in the society as they deal with personal issues in a man’s world. Through sexual, religious, and historical references, the play, in its own irrational world, tackles controversial topics in a hilarious way.
