Women of Notes – Women’s Music, Women’s Words features medieval chant by Hildegard von Bingen, baroque music by Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini, and C.M Cazzolani, part songs by Fanny Hensel, Rebecca Clark and Amy Beach, along with contemporary works by Tania León, Martha Sullivan, and Flowing Light by Matthew Harris: a setting of poems by Wu Tsao, China’s 19th century lesbian poet.

Western Wind members are Linda Lee Jones, Michele Kennedy, sopranos, William Zukof, countertenor, Todd Frizzell, David Vanderwal, tenors and Peter Walker, bass.

Guest performers will be Carlene Stober, viola da gamba & Arash Noori, lute and theorbo.
