Women Discovering and Understanding Their Right to Fight Violence: A Community Exhibit

May 2, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

| Free

This exhibit showcases the power of art in expressing women’s understanding of issues affecting them in the community, particularly violence against women. Kasibulan, an all women’s art group, facilitated an art workshop with Standing Side by Side with Women in Malanday (KKBM) and Tumana Organization for Empowerment and Resources (Tower) last February 25, 2016.

Artworks created from this workshop are being exhibited to share with the rest of the community the importance of art as a method to discover, learn, and understand the importance of women, their rights, and commitment to ending violence against women.
