Galería de la Raza is pleased to present Womxn Are Perfect! The works in this exhibition define and reclaim what perfection means by, for and about self-identifying womxn. Through different mediums and approaches, the featured artists in this exhibition challenge hetero-normative narratives of womxn perfection. The works offer a celebration of taboo bodies, sexual identities, self-love and awareness of self-worth that stand in opposition to oppressive systems and expectations. The exhibiting artists emerge with a contemporary, unapologetic and relentless vision of womxn perfection.

The exhibit runs from Saturday, February 20 – Saturday, March 26, 2016. The gallery is open from 12 noon – 6 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays.  There is an opening reception on Saturday, March 5 from 6 – 9 p.m.
